Teslan® 1700 Magnesium CNT Primer is formulated with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and magnesium to deliver corrosion protection to steel and other metal surfaces. It is a solvent-based, two-component magnesium-CNT epoxy-polyamide primer designed to be applied directly to prepared metal surfaces and to be the foundation for Teslan topcoats.

Teslan 1700 primer’s CNTs align in long ropelike structures that are bound tougher than diamonds and which provide the ultimate in corrosion protection. The primer is durable and protects against impact and mechanical damage while delivering superior corrosion protection. This primer can be directly topcoated without application of an intermediate epoxy or urethane coating.

Application is easy, using conventional air-spray, air-assisted airless or airless spray equipment.

Teslan is the world’s most durable corrosion-resistant two-coat protective coating system. Teslan primers and topcoats are recommended for any application where steel or aluminum must withstand rust and corrosion, even in the most extreme environments.
